Medical Brigades
Global Medical Brigades is an international movement of students and medical professionals working alongside local communities to implement sustainable health systems around the world. GMB is an amazing way to get involved if you are interested in healthcare and helping others! In 2024, the medical chapter will be in Guatemala from March 3rd to March 9th on a medical brigade!

Honduras March 2023
Penn State's GMB worked with local doctors at temporary medical clinics in the rural communities Tomatin, El Guanacaste​, and Yamaguare. ​
​
Although they spent only one day with each community, they were able to treat over 362 patients during the brigade!

Guatemala March 2024
Penn State's GMB worked with local doctors in a 4 day long medical clinic in the community of Chutiabajal.​
​
During the week, they treated 271 patients and made lasting memories!
